Longford Playing Field is a popular recreation area for all. It is regularly used by Longford Football Club for training and weekend matches. There is a basketball area, play park, and community orchard.
There is a volunteer group that regularly meets usually on a Saturday morning to carry out small items of maintenance and upkeep of the field and orchard.
The whole field is covered by CCTV for the safety of our visitors.
